Surah Al Fil , 105

friends , dato and tanseri,


the last 10 surah are inter -connected in history and meanings.
go thru shaykh nouman ali khan's 1st part of his commentary of surah al fil and you will get the feel of that cohesive inter-connection.

towards the end of part 1 of his discourse, nouman  ali offered  a geopolitical-economic back ground of  the middle eastern diaspora of around year 400 -500 ce.
to the northern eastern corner, we have the influence of the sessanied persian empire ; the north west, the eastern byzantine influence and viceroy ship; on the southern side , the abbysinian christian influnce.

the central arabian nedj region, present day arabia, very much left on its own due to its people being very much ungovernable. 

our story in surah al fil started in present day yemen.

the 2nd part of nouman's discourse brought me forward to american's  and allies intransigence and plunder and illegal inroads into the muslim hinterland: iraq, libya , afghanistan and lately syria and yemen..

"Did HE not bring their stratagem to naught," ......
let time be  the judge.

سُوۡرَةُ الفِیل
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡفِيلِ (١) أَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡ كَيۡدَهُمۡ فِى تَضۡلِيلٍ۬ (٢) وَأَرۡسَلَ عَلَيۡہِمۡ طَيۡرًا أَبَابِيلَ (٣) تَرۡمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ۬ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ۬ (٤) فَجَعَلَهُمۡ كَعَصۡفٍ۬ مَّأۡڪُولِۭ (٥) 

Surah Al-Fil
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant? (1) Did He not bring their stratagem to naught, (2) And send against them swarms of flying creatures, (3) Which pelted them with stones of baked clay, (4) And made them like green crops devoured (by cattle)? (5)
