Surah Al Baqarah , 2 : ayat 188 to ayat 197

your highness,


the next group of ayat is about the right work and business ethics.
it is also about 1mdb, scrc, ntr, and ETC AND ETC.
it is about taqwa, or rather to be precise, in our present context at least, the total lack of it!
interesting!

and before i sign off let me digress a wee bit tuanku,  and get back to the previous group of ayat: of being millionaires and billionires. i was talking to a very dear friend the other day.

islam loves millionaires and billionaires but there is a big but..
it is very difficult road indeed to jannah!
and it is just not limited to islam of nabi muhammad [ pbuh ].
islam during nabi isa's time [[ pbuh ] also is not much different.
in fact isa ibnu maryam came off with a very difinitive advisory.

from the holy bible, in mathews 23 and 24:
 said isa ibnu maryam [pbuh ], to his disciples,
" truly i tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven "[ 23 ];
" again i tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God. "

it all back to taqwa
one can still be rich and famous, but you have to tip toe very very carefully between all the thorns and the low laying branches
