Surah Ghafir.........ayat 24 to ayat 26

friends, dato and tansri,

ayat 24 begins with allah's advisory to his prophet on the need to have sabr.
the biblical epic story of musa is related here in these ayat.

sabr is an important pillar of  the islamic character.
ideally it should be at the point of the 'first impact'.

collectively as an ummah, we have to exercise a lot of sabr in this age of global muslim bashing.

muslim bashing is not a new phenomenon.
if one examine history correctly,
misinformation, mockery, mislabeling and unfortunately violence are the preserve of the kuffar, from time immemorial.

right from pharaoh's time, to disreali, churchil, charles de gaulle, right on to sarkozy, merkel, bush junior and senior, blair , putin, obama and trump and macron.

between the 1st gulf war , through to the second, and up to the syrian debacle, more than 2 million muslim lives have been sacrificed, against perhaps 2 thousand so called 'allied' lives.
more millions have been uprooted from their lives and homes.
millions of children have been deprived of proper education and future.

it is rather very naive for us to think that when ramallah, or baghdad , or raqqa or sana'a, or chechnya, or damacus, or kabul, all great and populous muslim cities, get bombed, that the damaged are surgically precise and clean.

collateral damage are monumental.
only bbc and cnn and cnbc would like us to think otherwise!

dr m is right when he said years back that 'the west is bad news for everyone'.
just look at the last several centuries or so and especially the last 40 years ...the world are littered by wars, unnecessary wars, endemic ethnic cleansing etc and etc.

state terrorism , under whatever rationale and guise are 1000 time worse than individual terrorism.

but of course history  and rules of international engagements  and infringement are written by victors,  to the point you guys may say dr m and myself need to have our heads examined, to be having this view.
