(32) Have they not seen that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and was not wearied by their creation, is Able to give life to the dead? Aye, He verily is Able to do all things. (33) And on the day when those who disbelieve are exposed to the Fire (they will be asked): Is not this real? They will say: Yea, by our Lord. He will say: Then taste the doom for that ye disbelieved. (34) Then have patience (O Muhammad) even as the stout of heart among the messengers (of old) had patience, and seek not to hasten on the doom for them. On the day when they see that which they are promised (it will seem to them) as though they had tarried but an hour of daylight. A clear message. Shall any be destroyed save evil-living folk? (35)

Surah al Ahqaaf....ayat 21 to ayat 28

friends, dato and tansri,

the next group of ayat are about allah's wrath; about tsunami; about earthquakes ; massive floods; past and present and future.

it is no longer politically correct to talk about bala' and allah's wrath anymore. 
seismic earth movement, global warming, tectonic plate collisions, etc and etc, explain everything, opined my good friend nadzru azahari, a petroleum engineer par excellence cum entrepreneur.

to him and people 'sewaktu dengan nya',before  the big bang, allah already consider all the 'big data', preset all conditions  and pre conditions; rules, formullae and equations; and then , just after the big bang, took ' a long long vacation'.
to this group of  very 'clever' people, micromanagement is not  in allah's book.

like a modern piece of engineering marvel, this world is like a microwave oven...all already pre set.
no cook required, thereafter !

allah, allah , allah, allah....in actual fact at every microsecond of every microsecond; at every twist and turn of the trillions and trillions of galaxies of electrons and protons and cern particle; at every moment of time and space; .......allah is in charge. 
he is ya rabb, ya zaljala liwal ikram, ya malikul mulk.
he is ya hayyu, ya qayyum...he never sleep
HE is ya latif, ya salam...the subtle one , giver  and owner of serenity and peace
HE is also ya rahman, ya rahim, the most beneficient , the most merciful.. 
...but and at the same time HE is ya qahhar, ya jabbar, ya muntakim and  ya mutakabbir !!

HE is the owner of yaumiddin
If HE is just ya rahman and ya rahim without being ya jabbar , ya muntakim and ya mutakabbir, how can HE be the judge,  and the hang man at the same time.


anyway if these are bala' why is it that most of the upheavals  are usually in muslim majority countries, doc?...... they should be spared, by logical deduction.
opined another friend, a  datuk who is a current moghul in private education.

precisely my dear watson! because you are 98 % muslim and not even brave enough to declare and practise yor creeds and shariah, that is why bala' rains upon you guys!

because you claimed to be 96 % muslim in the past, and now hardly 30 % are 'practising muslims', thanks largely to a dear past leader who was largely drunk most time and 100 % secular at best...a historical past that carries on as a baggage for the present. you , who in the past, had the power and the  pedigree to determine and decide on the goings on of half the known world at that time. 
at the beginning of 2018, more than 50 years on, but  still begging for crumbs to fall down from the christian's club high table.

my late mum died at a relative young age of 68.
she had established kidney failure amenable to treatment with heamodylisis.
she elected not to undergo the treatment, and died shortly 2 weeks after cessation of heamodylisis.
if i read her mind correctly retrospectively, she elected not to trouble her 5 children and 5 menantus.

that is the ultimate sacrifice of a mother.............
that is how most parents think.

We are all already in the departure lounge, ready for our flights, with boarding passes and visa all ready at hand. Some flights are delayed, just a few brought forward. Some names have already been
called but they are oblivious, still shopping around at the duty free.....

Life in this duniya is like an airport!

Allah loves those of us who do taubah over taubah and over taubah..
We do taubah for Allah to forgive us for our absentism.
Ghaflah or forgetfulness is:
. abseentism from Allah, 24/7
. we no longer pray to be closer to Him, we just pray to Him.
. we do zikr not to enter into His presence, we do zikr so as to be able to tell ourselves we do zikr.
. we do siam not to be with Him, we do siam to be away from food and drinks.
. we complain about Him , and not to Him

As usual, the good ustaz starts with commentary of a hadith or two before commentary of the qur'an

[ 1: 14:02 ] ...' saya dok tengok ramai ni budak2 dok ada , tapi pasal apa allah ambil anak saya !?.ni yang saya tak faham!!...' ,  in relation to the tsunami.

at the other end of the 'kuffar' spectrum of things there are people who think tsunami, earthquakes etc and etc are preordained physical event due to expected, 'calculable'; earth movements, collision of earth plates over each other ;techtonic forces etc and etc. nothing to do with god's will.

god, if HE is there; is just an absent bystander. 
god is not in the equation.
HIS formullae and calculations have all been set up, things beyond that are all 'automatic'
HE takes a long leave after the 'big bang! 

these people are not simple minded people. 
they are muslim men of science, engineering and pray 5 times a day. 
some of them know the qur'an inside out!

Before We Move On To Surah al Ahqaf....Dr Umar Faruq Abdullah on "The Beautiful Soul..."

I have not met Dr Umar Faruq Abdullah in real life but I have benefited a lot from his ilm and wisdom from just listening to his lectures  in the net.

For instance I used to pray solat hajat a lot, oftentimes almost on a daily basis, in my life for everyday life things, work related and non-work related, problems and anxieties, which mostly crops up on and off; things that other people would consider as trivialities not befiting a hajat prayer.....i am a keen believer in prayer power and in my personal and professional life, hajat prayers work all the time!!

if my wish did not materialise, and we have to contend that not all our wishes are appropriate, acceptance come easy after one have gone thru the motions of connecting to HIM.

if parameters on the ground do not change, parameters in our qalb changes.
the soft landing and cushion come easily......HE is after all 'ya mukalibal qulub', the one who changes hearts!

back to the good shaykh!

A year back I got advised by the shaykh to use asma al husna in its zikr form  zikr, namely "ya salam" [ x400 ] and "ya latif" [ x400 ],  as akin to hajat doa or prayer. i did just that for a year now.....and this is as good, if not better than, my hajat prayer.

And why not!? Such beautiful names, and a lot more hard work!!

This lecture on the "beautiful soul..traversing the end of times." is fairly long. Do listen and derive benefit from the good shaykh, as I have done personally with his other advisories.

the shyakh is a graduate from three established universities in america, has a phd, and yet has the humility to learn the 'ugama', 'knees to knees' with some of the greatest teachers and tok gurus of our times.

insyaallah, alhamdullillah!

the good shaykh ends his discourse with a very short poem  attributed to the late muhammad ali, a most beautiful soul!

get out of my way!
i am black and i am proud.
say it loud!
i am black and i am proud!

at the very end of his discourse, he added one important advice for our  souls to be beautiful,that in this age of fitna:
"if you cannot say anything good then silence is golden".

which reminded me of one town hall meeting of sayyedina othman with his people.
he entered the town hall, and stood there in front of the crowd.
no speeches, no admonition , just silence.
that town hall meeting carried more weight than many others before that.

we need leaders who are active and 'walk the talk', not one given to 'mumbo jumbo' and empty slogans and promises and lies!!

these seems to be the order of these days.....these days towards the end of time.

it is the same everywhere you go on this earth.
sri perdana putrajaya; the white house; riyahd royal palace; istana serene; number 10 downing street; dubai, new york or camberra.....the occupants, men and women, are all not 100 % sure that there is a day of reckoning, a day of accountability. from top down they harbour corruption, gross avarice, rancour and extreme love for the duniya, at the expensive exchange of their souls.


when at the end of the tunnel of inherent wisdom, it is only unto Him (alone) belongeth Majesty in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

to Him we will all return.

rumi in his mathnawi, opined,

'return, return.
whoever you are,
even if you are an unbeliever or an idol worshiper,
return.

there is no despair at our door.
even if you have broken your vows a hundred times,
return, return.
